To celebrate the festival of Eid which marks the end of the holy Ramadhan period, the IEC organised a trip to Thorpe Park for the youth.
Boys from different ages and backgrounds were accompanied by IEC supervisors and volunteers enjoyed a day out full of fun and adventure. The groups were accompanied by elders and leaders of the community, creating an environment where formalities and shyness can be forgotten and youngsters could open up to their older peers. Religious leader Syed Ali Nawab was present and enjoyed accompanying the youth on many roller coasters and wasn’t scared of getting his clothes wet. The experience brought the community together and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood.
Together we fasted for a month and together we congratulate and celebrate this great achievement with laughter, excitement and happiness.
